Ready to pandemic-proof your brows?
For better and worse, the endless Zoom meetings during coronavirus have forced me to take a long, hard look at my facial hair. Coronabrow? Pandemic peach fuzz? Shut-in ‘stache? I hate to admit it, but check, check and check.
It shouldn’t have come as a surprise, because facial hair on women is totally normal. During this pandemic, however, I found myself suddenly tackling a whole new set of responsibilities, like running my kitchen as if it were a 24-hour fine-dining restaurant. And I was finding it difficult to make time for myself and maintain all my newly found fuzz by the usual temporary at-home methods .
That’s why the one thing I plan to do, as soon as the salon doors re-open, is see my professional electrologist. Wait, what?
During this shut-in, I’ve realized I have way too many things on my to-do list to endlessly battle unwanted hair. And while I can tweeze, trim, shave and even apply depilatories, let’s face it, these solutions only last a few days or weeks! So, why not take care of things permanently and stop thinking about the problem of unruly eyebrows, forever?
3 reasons to make an electrolysis appointment right now!
Electrolysis is the only permanent method of hair removal recognized by the FDA.
Yep, that’s right! If you’re looking for hair removal that lasts, electrolysis is better than laser, sugaring, waxing, and threading, all of which are temporary and require that you continually go back.
Electrolysis works beautifully on all hair and skin types, so it’s great for everyone!
If you have a darker complexion or hair that is blond, gray, red or otherwise light in color, laser likely won’t work well for you because the pulsed light needs a sufficiently dark hair pigment and lighter colored skin to be effective.
Electrolysis is affordable.
You can pay as you go and there are lots of appointment options — ranging from 15 minutes to an hour or more — so it fits into just about any beauty budget. Just think about all the money (and time) you’ll save when you say goodbye to razors, waxing or threading appointments forever!
The real question now is, what have we all learned from this socially-distanced, hair-growing experience? Personally, I’m going to pandemic-proof my eyebrows while I still have the chance!
